A: Do you want to go to the stadium today?
B: I'm sorry I can't. I have to brush up on my English.
A: Are you having a test tomorrow or something?
B: Yes, we're having our midterm.
A: I wish you the best of luck.
B: Thanks. I'll need it.

A: My computer isn't running very well.
B: But you just bought it last month.
A: I know. But sometimes it doesn't start.
B: What's wrong with it?
A: I can't pinpoint it.
B: I think you'd better take it in to a hardware store.

A: I saw a great movie on TV last night.
B: Really, what was it called?
A: Something about a knight.
B: "The Black Knight" with Tina Louise? I love that movie.
A: No, that's not it. Oh, it's on the tip of my tongue.
B: That OK. I missed it anyway.

A: Are you working overtime tonight?
B: Yes, because the second shift person is late.
A: Do you get paid for it?
B: No, I don't.
A: That's a real pain in the neck.
B: I don't want to do it, but I have to.

身から出た錆
Explanation:
Two friends, A and B met. They learn at the same school. A wants to read. He says to B: 'B, you have so many nice books. Can you lend me one?'
But B is selfish, he does not lend books. He replies: 'Why do you want to take it home? You can read it here, in my house!' A thinks that his friend is a bad boy, but he does not say anything.
The following week, B comes to A and says: 'A, you have a good garden knife. Can you lend it to me? I want to use it in my garden tomorrow.' A answers: 'Why do you want to take my knife home? You can use it in my garden.' (lol)

I've just created the gadget for tracking all the words I have been learning recently. It's written based on to do list gadget.
After adding, it looks like the following picture
You can add any words or phrases you want to track in this list. If you forget the meaning of the word, just click on the icon next to it.
I created this for learning English and Japanese words/phrases so the dictionary in the gadget is also for English and Japanese as well.
If you like, you can add it in your iGoogle page at this address http://tinyurl.com/WordTracking
Note that at the moment it's used for iGoogle page only. If you add it in your blog, you cannot see your words/phrases again after refreshing the page.

A: You had your car fixed last week, didn't you?
B: Yes, but I'm still having trouble starting it.
A: Why don't you buy my car? I'm buying a new one and I have to get rid of it.
B: How much are you asking?
A: 500.00
B: You want me to pay 500.00 for that pile of junk? Not on your life.
B: Yes, but I'm still having trouble starting it.

I found this book on Scribd today. I think it's very good for people who are learning English like me. After reading a couple of pages, I found that it's very dangerous when using English every day if we make any mistakes in pronunciation as well as in word usages.

A: When is the first time to drive home?
B: Well, it's good to avoid rush hour if you can.
A: When's that?
B: Rush hour is usually between four and six in the afternoon.
A: That's when everyone gets off work?
B: Right. Traffic is always bumper to bumper.
